Sophie and Lady Gaga Are Working on Music Together

Lady Gaga's getting back to her experimental electro-pop roots, with the help of Sophie. The futuristic Scottish electronic producer has worked with the likes of Charli XCX, Vince Staples and even Madonna, and now she can add Mother Monster to that list.

When asked by a fan if she was working with the "Bad Romance" singer on her new album, Sophie responded "Yes. Whatever, you know. I'm working on a lot of different things. If it comes out, that's cool. She's a really cool person." The fan caught the interaction on camera and tweeted it out with the giddy caption: "okay so i met SOPHIE last night after her show and she CONFIRMED THAT SHE’S WORKING WITH GAGA OMGPLEASE RETWEET THIS SO EVERYONE KNOWS PLEASE."

In Paper magazine's June cover story, Sophie talks about being a trans woman and how it affects her music.

"Transness is taking control to bring your body more in line with your soul and spirit so the two aren't fighting against each other and struggling to survive," she said. "On this earth, it's that you can get closer to how you feel your true essence is without the societal pressures of having to fulfill certain traditional roles based on gender."
