Meghan Markle Finds Royal Do's And Don'ts 'Difficult To Understand'

As it turns out, Meghan Markle is still adjusting to royal life, namely with dress codes imposed by the family’s matriarch, and the transition has been quite taxing. A source told PEOPLE that, while Markle has acclimated to most of the house’s customs, she “has found certain rules in the royal household difficult to understand,” like the Queen’s preference for “women in dresses or skirts rather than trouser suits.”

The acclimation has even caused the 36-year-old actress to challenge those long-held traditions and seek answers from husband Prince Harry, "asking why things have to be done in a certain way,” the source explained, adding, “I think she finds it a little frustrating at times, but this is her new life, and she has to deal with it.”

This isn't the only reality check the Duchess of Sussex’s received with her new life, either. Earlier last week, the Suits alum, who is also a self-proclaimed feminist, made headlines when Senator Catherine Noone revealed in a since-deleted tweet that Markle was "pleased to see" Ireland legalize abortion in its recent vote while conversing with her at a garden party in Dublin.

Markle was given her Duchess title when she married Harry back in May.
