Heat Advisory Posted For Most Of Louisiana

Mother Nature will have you hot under the collar for the next few days.

The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for most of the state today, a situation likely to continue through the weekend and only grow worse.

The mercury is expected to climb into the mid-90s each afternoon, while the feels-like temperature, or heat index, could max out at 110 degrees or higher.

Rain chances are expected to be down.
