Sam Hunt Drops ‘Downtown’s Dead’ Music Video

By Chandler Reeves

July 20, 2018

Fans can feel the loneliness Sam Hunt sings about in “Downtown’s Dead” in the song’s brand-new music video.

The country superstar shot the clip in rural Mexico, traveling deserted  landscapes and cobblestone roads on motorcycle. The dejected tone of the video matches that of the desperation in the lyrics. “As long as you’re still in my head/There ain’t a way that I can paint a ghost town red/Downtown’s dead, downtown’s dead,” Sam sings in the song’s chorus. “Downtown’s Dead” precedes the release of another track from Sam, who has hinted that he hopes to release another single track this fall.

He is touring football stadiums throughout summer with Luke Bryan but isn’t announcing plans for a new album just yet
