Mac Miller isn't afraid to share his thoughts on his split from Ariana Grande, as per a recent interview, which saw the rapper divulge details on his time with the 25-year-old star, who is currently engaged to Pete Davidson.

"You know, that's the other thing is with the relationship thing is, like, the internet is wild," the rapper, who is prepping the August release of his upcoming album, Swimming, said of his time with Grande via Entertainment Tonight. "I kind of knew, but not really."

Nonetheless, Miller made it a point to emphasize that his relationship with Grande was a rather normal one. "Life is stressful," he admitted. "So, of course, there were stressful times. It's not that unique. You know, like, I was in love with somebody. We were together for two years. We worked through good times, bad times, stress, and everything else. And then it came to an end and we both moved on. And it's that simple, you know."

Ultimately, Miller said that he's happy that his former flame has found happiness with the Saturday Night Live comedian. "It's strange. Like, the whole thing is a little strange but it's not negative," he explained. "It's just a part of something that's going to continue to help make me who I am. You know, it's all positive energy. I am happy for her and moving forward with her life just as I'm sure she is with me."

After going public with their relationship at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards, Grande and Miller parted ways in May 2018. "This is one of my best friends in the whole world and favorite people on the planet," Grande wrote at the time. "I respect and adore him endlessly and am grateful to have him in my life in any form, at all times regardless of how our relationship changes or what the universe holds for each of us!"
