Surprise! Ariana Grande Announces 'Sweetener Sessions' Shows

Sweet news, Arianators! Ariana Grande is putting together a special show to celebrate the release of her fourth studio album, Sweetener, dropping on August 17.
"Surprise. i’m doing a lil thing called the sweetener sessions to celebrate release week w @americanexpress on sale 10 am local tmrw #amexlife!" the "No Tears Left to Cry" songbird announced on Twitter this Wednesday (August 8), informing her 56 million followers to "be der" for the "Sweetener Sessions" taking place later this month in partnership with American Express.
Per info listed on the press poster for Grande's "Sweetener Sessions," the event will kick off during the same night of the MTV Video Music Awards (August 20) in New York City, with additional performance stops slated for Chicago (August 22) and Los Angeles (August 25).
The announcement arrives a week after it was previously reported that the vocal powerhouse would perform her celestial smash hit single "God Is a Woman" at the annual music event for which she is nominated in five categories — including Artist of the Year, Best Visual Effects, Best Cinematography, Best Pop Video and Video of the Year.
Tickets for "Sweetener Sessions" will go on sale at 10 a.m. local time starting Thursday (August 9). The 2018 VMAs will air live at 9 PM ET on MTV.
