Troye Sivan is giving fans a taste of his softer side with his latest single, "Animal."
The 23-year-old shared the slow jam on Thursday (August 9) and divulged what it means to him via Twitter the day before its release.
"'Animal' is one of my fave songs I’ve ever written," the rising pop star admitted. "I wanted to make an epic, timeless love song about how whipped i am."
Who's got the young singer whipped, you ask? That would be model Jacob Bixenman — Troye's boyfriend of two years.

The song is a slow burner (don't adjust your sound system if you don't hear much of anything in the first 15 seconds) and builds up to the chorus where Troye proclaims "I want you all to myself/ Don’t leave none for nobody else/ I am an animal with you."
Listen to the track below.
"Animal" is the third offering off Troye's anticipated sophomore album, Bloom, following the record's title track, "My My My," and the Ariana Grande-assisted "Dance To This" (which got an adorable child-led remake). Bloom is set for an August 31 release date.
