First Look: See Kiernan Shipka In 'The Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina'

Kiernan Shipka embraces her witchy side in the first pics from The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

In the first set of images provided exclusively by The Hollywood Reporter, the 18-year-old actress is shown in full garb as half-human, half-witch Sabrina Spellman in the upcoming series. In one image, Shipka's titular character is surrounded by fellow sorcerors and appears to be undergoing a ritual, another depicts her trekking through the woods.

The dark coming-of-age story follows Sabrina (Shipka) as she comes into her powers as a witch-in-training while balancing a normal life as a sophomore at Greendale's Baxter High. There, she meets her human boyfriend Harvey Kinkle (portrayed by Ross Lynch) and best friend Rosalind Walker (Jaz Sinclair).

Others cast in the series include Tati Gabrielle, Abigail Cowen, Lachlan Watson, Lucy Davis and Gavin Leatherwood.

Initially pitched for The CW, executive producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa's latest expansion of Riverdale will have its 10-episode series premiere on Netflix on October 26 — and a second season underway.

The pics arrive one week after it was announced that Riverdale's universe would be extending yet again with a second spinoff based on the show over at The CW. Fans speculated the spinoff news meant a Riverdale and The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina crossover was on the horizon.

However, Aguirre-Sacasa debunked these rumors due to the shows' differing network homes, telling TVLine: "Right now, we're trying to make sure that the shows have their own identity and their own set of rules."
