The bodies of two young missing Colorado girls have been found inside some oil and gas tanks that "were mostly full," according to a report from KMGH

Officials with knowledge of the case told the outlet Thursday that authorities found what appeared to be the bodies of 4-year-old Bella Watts and 3-year-old Celeste Watts inside "mostly full" oil and gas tanks owned by Anadarko Petroleum.

The bodies were reportedly found close to where another body was found earlier on Thursday who officials believe is Shannan Watts.

Frederick police arrested 33-year-old Chris Watts Thursday on suspicion of murdering his family. He has been charged with three counts of murder, and three counts of tampering with a deceased human body.

Two law enforcement sources told Denver7 that Watts had confessed to killing his wife and daughters.

Watts' pregnant wife and his two daughters were all reported missing on Monday around 2 p.m. after Shannan did not show for a doctors appointment and meeting.

Just hours before he was arrested, Watts gave an interview to reporters begging for his wife and daughter's safe return.

"My heart is racing a mile a minute," Watts told reporters a few hours before he was arrested by Frederick police. "It's not something I could ever, ever fathom would happen in my lifetime, and I have no inclination of where she is. She said she was going to a friend's house with the kids and that’s the last thing I heard, and that was it. It was very vague."

"My kids are my life. Those smiles light up my life," he added.
