Kristen Bell Shared Heartwarming Photos From Daughter's First Day Of School

The big day has finally arrived. Kristen Bell's oldest daughter, Lincoln, has started Kindergarten. Over the past few months, Kristen has spoken openly about how emotional the milestone in her daughter's life was making her. She even shared teary-eyed videos from Lincoln's pre-school graduation on her Instagram Stories, which every mom out there could certainly relate to. After a nice summer break, though, Lincoln is off to her new school for the next chapter of her life. Kristen shared the most heartwarming photos to mark the big day, too.

"Nerd alert!!! The team Shepard loves school!!" Kristen hilariously captioned two photos from Lincoln's first day of Kindergarten. The first shows Kristen and her husband, Dax Shepard, walking to school hand-in-hand with Lincoln. The second shows Dax holding Lincoln and giving her a big hug before she starts her day. 

Kristen spoke to E! News a few weeks ago about how Lincoln was prepping for the change. "She will be starting kindergarten in a month. My first time!" Bell said. "I feel great. I mean, it has nothing to do with me, I'm just sort of here for her and I've shown her the school...they have like play dates during the summer where the kids can actually meet each other, so the environment is slightly more familiar and I have just told her, 'It's gonna be a new school and it's your school,' to give her a sense of ownership, and just be there for whatever she needs."

It sounds like Lincoln was super prepared to start Kindergarten thanks to the help of her Mom. Kristen is known to be a crier, though, once telling Ellen DeGeneres that "the first thing you should know about me is that if I'm not between a three and a seven on the emotional scale, I'm crying. I'm crying if I'm too sad and I'm crying if I'm too excited. Always." I can only imagine a few proud tears were shed when Kristen and Dax dropped Lincoln off at school. Kids really do grow up so fast, don't they?
