Two Colorado police officers were suspended because of their involvement in the leaking of body camera footage that captured a belligerent outburst by Jordan Hancock, the son of Denver Mayor Michael Hancock, after he was pulled over for speeding. Aurora police officers Paul Timmons and Judy Gurley-Lutkin each received a one-day suspension after video footage of the March 23rd incident was released to the press.

Officials say that Aurora police officer Paul McClendon, who pulled over Hancock, showed the body camera video of the incident to Timmons, who recorded it with his cell phone. Timmons showed the footage to Gurley-Lutkin, who then gave it to her husband. It is unclear if he was the one who leaked the video to the media.

McClendon was cleared of any wrong-doing for allowing Timmons to watch and record the video.

Hancock has since apologized for his expletive-laden outburst, in which he threatened to get the officer fired, and paid the $275 fine for speeding.
