Hard work pays off! Kim Kardashian has reached her goal weight of 116 pounds. The slimmed-down reality star shared with E! News that she’s “really proud” to have shed her last stubborn 20 pounds.

So how did she do it?

She’s been working hard with trainer Melissa Alcantara and she’s reeled in her diet.

“I work out about an hour-and-a-half every single day, heavy weights. I don't do a lot of cardio,” she dished. “… I’ve been working out really hardcore with a bodybuilder for one year. September is our one-year anniversary.”

“I’ve lost 20 pounds and I'm really proud of that,” she continued. “I was almost 140 forever and now I'm like 116 and it just feels good. I didn't see results right away, but when you stick with something and you're consistent, you will. So, I love it.”

Of course, diet is also important for the former candy lover.

“I don't really eat sugar the way that I used to,” she added. “It doesn't really do it for me.”

✨Going back to my post yesterday✨ What most people think instafit people look like all year round vs. what we usually look like living a Normal-ish life very much like yours. : Let’s get some things straight 1. Most people do not walk around shredded all year round, they usually diet really fuckin hard and do tons of cardio to be really lean for a reason i.e. competitions, photo shoots etc. 2. Being really lean a.k.a being in a caloric deficit for a long period of time without a diet break fucks with your hormones. Your hormones are crucial to everything you do and can dictate not only your day but how you live your life i.e. if you’re happy, hungry, sad, rate of weight loss and weight gain etc... 3. Going back between the two being really lean then big then lean then big over and over again can leave you with lifelong hormonal imbalances. 4. Some people (very few if they’re natural) may be able to walk around looking like that for their whole lives but that’s genetics and if that doesn’t run in your blood, don’t force it because your body will pay you back double time. 5. The reason you may not be losing weight is because you’ve been on low calories for so long that your body has adapted and now has become efficient at living on little calories which has now become your ‘maintenance’. Stop starving yourselves and do your research. You’re confused because you choose to be, be consistent enough to know your body, sometimes you gotta go backwards to move forward! : : : #fitfam @ig_leanmuscles #transformationtuesday @afrogirlfitness #fitspo @best_body_transformations #fitness #bodybuilding @bodybuildingcom #love #goals #healthylifestyle #healthyfood #consistency #beautiful #fitfam #fitgirl @trainandtransform #fitmom @aesthetic_chicks #dedication #inspiration @transformationrevolution #fitspiration #motivation

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star gave Melissa a shoutout on Instagram after she started seeing results about three months ago.

“Shout out to my trainer @fitgurlmel who really changed my body,” she captioned a bikini selfie at the time. “When I wasn’t happy with what I saw back in the mirror I spent a whole year training so hard 5 or 6 days a week putting in a lot of work and changed the way that I eat and there’s such a noticeable difference. I am firm and less cellulite and so much more confident. SO THANK YOU for waking up at 5am to do crazy body building workouts & sprints that I hate & putting me on to this lifestyle.”
