Liam Payne's first EP is here!

The former One Direction member dropped his debut solo EP, First Time, at midnight on Friday (August 24). The British singer's first solo project features four tracks, "Home With You," "Depend On It," "Slow," and his single, "First Time," which features French Montana.

Just last week, Liam let fans know that his EP was on the way, calling it a piece of work he's "really proud of."

"This EP is a collection of songs that I'm really proud of and want you all to hear," he wrote in a note on Twitter. "Tell me what you think. As always thanks for your support -- it means the world to me." Liam also revealed why he released the EP before his debut solo album, which he previously announced earlier this summer on Good Morning America.

"As you may know, the last few months have seen some big changes for me," he wrote, seemingly referencing his recent split from his girlfriend and son's mother Cheryl Cole. "I looked at some of the songs on my album which were done a while ago and they felt from another age. I'm determined for my debut album to truly represent me. I'm now back in the studio working hard to finalise the final few new songs on the record - I'm genuinely excited about the music I'm writing and recording and I can't wait for it to be ready for you all."

On Friday, Liam also released a lyric video for the EP's title track, "First Time." The 24-year-old singer's EP comes after his previous singles, including, "For You," "Strip That Down," "Bedroom Floor," and most recently "Familiar."
