Senator Joni Ernst is getting a divorce

Iowa Senator Joni Ernst says she and her husband Gail are divorcing.
In a statement released by her office, Ernst says the two remain committed to their family and their children. Gail Ernst has two daughters from a previous marriage. Joni and Gail have one daughter together.
The two were married in 1992.
