Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper Shine At 'A Star Is Born' Premiere In Venice

Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper looked nothing short of Old Hollywood royalty during last night's premiere of A Star Is Born.

The pop singer and Academy Award-nominated actor turned heads in Italy Friday (August 31) while walking the red carpet hand-in-hand at the Venice Film Festival to witness their new film make its silver screen debut.

Gaga looked ravishing in a coral, maribou-feathered Valentino Haute Couture strapless gown from Pierpaolo Piccioli, whereas her plus-one, Cooper, wore a Gucci tuxedo and shoes by Christian Louboutin.

The musical romantic drama, a remake of the 1937 original, follows an established singer-songwriter (Cooper) who falls in love with his timid yet greatly talented protégée (Gaga).

“It’s a story about love and about what Bradley refers to as the human plight of addiction. It was a remarkable experience for me,” the Joanne artist said of the movie during yesterday's press conference at the function.

“When I started out in the music industry and decided to be a singer and go for a professional career I was 19 years and I hit the ground running," she added. "I was dragging my piano from dive bar to dive bar to get jobs so that I could sing and perform for people…when I started out, I was not the most beautiful girl in the room."

Gaga continued: "[Producers] wanted to take my songs and give it to other singers but (…) I held on to them. They made suggestions about how I should look. … but I didn’t want to be viewed like other women, be sexy like other women. I wanted to have my own vision.”

A Star Is Born releases October 5.
