Noah Cyrus is ready to let out a good cry on her new EP.
On Tuesday (September 4), the pop singer took to social media with the release date of her new Good Cry extended play, along with an audio snippet of the record's tentative title track.
"Well... due to the circumstances i think i named this EP appropriately," the 18-year-old captions the video announcement post, alluding to the messy breakup she suffered from ex-boyfriend Lil Xan just a day before. "Good cry coming sept. 21 #GoodCryEP."
Sounds of the "Make Me (Cry)" singer sniffling can be heard throughout the preview. Meanwhile, Cyrus finds herself alone and experiencing an emotional meltdown inside a pink room.
"I’ve been drinking this best drop for days/ The man across the bar taught me his ways/ They try to send me home but I can’t be alone," she sings before the screen flashes to the dates of her upcoming "Good Cry Tour," which begins in Fort Lauderdale, Florida September 22.
As we stated, Good Cry's release comes straight off the heels of the songstress' incredibly public (and confusing) split from the SoundCloud rapper, who publicly accused his "Live or Die" collaborator of being unfaithful after she texted him an inappropriate meme of Charlie Puth.
"Im heartbroken and confused," Cyrus tweeted in response to Xan's shocking accusations against her. It was too late, however, the damaged had been done.
“I’ve just been informed that basically it’s all fake and I’m being used. So f*** it," Xan said in an Instagram Live video Monday (September 3). "I thought I was in love but whatever. I’ll take that L. Heartbreak soldier; thanks Noah. Hope the song does well.”
The couple's abrupt split came just weeks after making their red carpet debut at MTV's 2018 VMAs.
