Kiernan Shipka Doesn't Get Along With An Important Co-Star

Who's excited for Chilling Adventures of Sabrina to drop on Netflix next month? Kiernan Shipka, who plays the titular Sabrina, might just be more excited than the rest of us. During an interview with Vulture, Shipka revealed her first reaction to the project. “I was like, Oh my God, this is heaven. I’m obsessed with everything about it,” she said, which only makes me more hype for this spooky reimagining of Sabrina the Teenage Witch to premiere.
One thing that hasn't been so great for Shipka, though, is that she doesn't get along with one of her co-stars. No, it's not Ross Lynch, who plays Sabrina's love interest Harvey Kinkle. It's the cat who plays Salem. Well, it's all five of the cats who play Salem. “The cat is the one cast member I don’t get along with,” Shipka revealed. Shortly after filming began, she realized she was allergic to cats after she broke out in hives when she picked up one of the feline actors.
As for her human co-stars, Shipka is loving getting to spend time with all of them on set in Vancouver. In addition to her own co-stars, she also gets to hang out with the cast of Riverdale, as well, because they film so close together. "I’m like, Oh my God, this is like my dorm! It’s the whole thing,”Shipka said of making friends with all her cast mates. Shipka's career began as Sally Draper on Mad Man, a show which did not have any other kids cast in starring roles. For Shipka, it's been nice to hang out with people her own age.
Shipka better keep an eye on all those cats, though. In this iteration of Sabrina, Salem isn't a wisecracking, yet loyal felina pal. He's actually a demon, so, that's new! Chilling Adventures of Sabrina premieres on Oct. 26...will you be watching?
