Temple University football's opening game against Villanova may not have ended the way the Owls would've liked (they lost 17-19 in a thriller of a game) but the marching band left fans with a great memory from the day nonetheless.
The Temple University Diamond Marching Band gave attendees a riveting halftime show. They performed Panic! At The Disco's hit single "Say Amen (Saturday Night)"with the same vigor as the band, and perhaps even more impressively formed into the alt-rockers' intricate logo without a misstep. Naturally, the crowd went wild.
Watch the marching band's flawless performance below.
"Say Amen (Saturday Night)" is off Panic! At The Disco's recently released sixth studio album, Pray For The Wicked, which was actually named after a lyric in the song.
"Pray For the Wicked is a lyric from the song 'Say Amen (Saturday Night),' and the chorus starts with, 'I pray for the wicked on the weekend. Mama, can I get another amen?'" singer Brendon Urie explained to iHeartRadio in a recent interview. "There's a lot of shout outs to my mom (What's up, mom?). And, I wanted to let her know, it doesn't matter if I'm a part of this religion or that religion, I still pray for the things I want to see change in the world, and the love that I feel. That was really, just kind of a love letter to my mom as well."
The band is gearing up for a world tour that begins in October, but fans can see them in September at this year's iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas before the official tour kicks off.
