Cat Power Delivers Moving, Meditative Cover Of Rihanna's 'Stay': Listen

Cat Power breathes new life into the beautiful verses of Rihanna's "Stay."
With just a piano and mic at her disposal, songbird Chan Marshall channels all the sentimental and pensive spirits of the pop star's original with a pristine interpretation. The newly-released visual for the track, which trails earlier singles "Woman" and "Wanderer," appears on the indie savior's forthcoming tenth studio album, Wanderer.
The song, co-written and features vocals by singer-songwriter Mikky Ekko, first featured on the Barbadian vocalist's Unapologetic album in 2012 — which also happens to be the same year Cat Power dropped her last offering, Sun.
It's been six years since then and it seems Marshall is ready to reclaim her position as indie's favorite wallflower with the forthcoming arrival of her latest, 11-song full-length. It drops October 5.
