Alyssa Milano showed her "solidarity" for Dr. Christine Blasey Ford at Thursday's (September 27)  Senate Judiciary Committee hearing. The "Charmed'' actress was present as the professor gave her testimony following her accusations of sexual assault against Supreme Court justice nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

"I felt like I needed to be here to show my solidarity for Dr. Ford," Milano said from the hearing room. "On this day that will be very difficult for her."

Milano has been live tweeting from inside the courtroom, expressing her support of Dr. Ford. "I believe Dr. Christine Blasey Ford," she wrote alongside a photo of Thursday's proceedings. Milano has also been quite vocal of her distrust and dislike of Kavanaugh, tweeting on Wednesday: "I’m in D.C. because I don’t believe any man’s misogyny should take precedent (sic) over a survivor’s humanity."

The Who's The Boss star's Senate Judiciary Committee hearing appearance comes after she wrote an essay for Vox where she reported her own sexual assault. "When I was sexually assaulted, I wasn't that much older than Christine Blasey Ford — who now has a Ph.D. in psychology — was when she says Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her," she wrote. "I've watched, horrified, as politicians and pundits refused to believe or take seriously these allegations."

"Despite the alleged actions of Brett Kavanaugh, despite the words of President Trump, and despite the silence from so many of our lawmakers, you are valuable. You are human. You are important," she continued in the essay. "And no one — not a Supreme Court nominee and not a president — can take that away from you."

She concluded her piece by once again stating her support of Ford. "I believe Christine Blasey Ford, and I demand that our senators vote to reject Brett Kavanaugh as the next justice on the Supreme Court," she wrote. "Every person who refuses to loudly and openly reject Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination is telling every generation of Americans that an alleged abuser's career is more valuable than a survivor's humanity. And the highest court in our land is no place for an alleged sexual offender to sit."
