In yet another promotional move for A Star Is Born, Lady Gaga has released "Shallow," the first track from the highly-anticipated film and soundtrack, which fans will recognize as the track featured in the first official trailer.

Clocking in at almost four minutes, "Shallow" is a slow-burning country-tinged ballad that hears both of the film's stars sing about wanting more out of life and its accompany lovers. "I'm off the deep end, watch as I dive in/ I'll never meet the ground," Gaga sings during the chorus. The track was written in part by Cooper and Gaga, and is said to have been recorded live. Additional writers for the track include Mark Ronson, Andrew Wyatt, and Anthony Rossomando, and co-producer it with Benjamin Rice. "

"We made this song for Ally and Jack and it’s such a special song, you know?" the pop titan recently said of the track. "It's two people talking to each other and talking about the need and the drive to dive into the deep end and stay away from the shallow area."

During Gaga's recent appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, she spoke a bit about her initial reaction to Cooper's singing. "We're both from the east coast, and we're both Italian, so before I knew it I was heating up leftovers in the kitchen and feeding him and we were talking about life," she told the comedian. "And then we started to sing together at the piano - a song by Creedence Clearwater Revival, 'Midnight Special' and I heard his voice and I stopped dead in my tracks and I said 'Oh my gosh, Bradley ... you can sing.' He sings from his soul. And you now what? He's a great songwriter, he wrote on all of his songs for this film."

Expect even more from the pair when the soundtrack drops the same day that the highly-anticipated film hits theaters on October 5. It includes new music from Mark Ronson, Jason Isbell, Julia Michaels, and Lori McKenna and more.
