Johnny Marr gave fans a little treat during his set at Ohana Festival in Dana Point, California on Saturday (September 29).

The former guitarist of The Smiths brought out Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder for a special performance of the indie rock pioneers' iconic 1986 song "There Is A Light That Never Goes Out."

“I’d like to take this opportunity to thank a good friend of mine, someone who I’ve admired and who’s been to me and who’s an inspiration,” Marr said, introducing Vedder onstage to channel his inner Morrissey.

Vedder took the reins and sang The Queen Is Dead track with a huskier approach than the original's soft vocals. Marr jumped in to sing lead for a brief moment at the end before handing the torch back to the Pearl Jam frontman.

Vedder headlined the festival that evening and brought out a special guest of his own. Though the singer-songwriter performed a number of cover songs during his time onstage, he brought out Liz Phair (who also played the festival) for a stripped down rendition of Pearl Jam's hit "Better Man" off 1994's Vitalogy.

After singing the first verse, Vedder let Phair take control of the vocals as he finger picked his acoustic guitar.

Watch a video of that performance below (Phair takes the stage around the 3:20 mark).
