Billy Corgan Welcomes Daughter Philomena Clementine Corgan Into the World

Billy Corgan is a dad, again!

On Tuesday (October 2), the normally stern and serious Smashing Pumpkins frontman shared a rare, emotional Instagram post introducing his daughter.

"Please welcome PHILOMENA CLEMENTINE CORGAN, the latest addition to our family! Pictured here with her brother, Augustus Juppiter," he wrote alongside a photo of the newborn and his two-and-a-half-year-old son, "this makes 8, counting Chloe, Angelface, Diamondbaby, Chin Chin, Ling Ling and yours truly." (Yes, those other names he mentioned are his pet cats.) 

"I'm so lucky to have a great partner in @chloemendel, who juggled raising our son, pregnancy with Philomena, whilst building her fashion line (@maisonatia) and navigating my being gone so much with SP in 2018," he continued, praising his partner Chloe Mendel. "Oh, and then there's wrestling!! What a year!"

What a year, indeed. Corgan has been on the road with Smashing Pumpkins for months and just announced even more tour dates. Aside from touring, the 51-year-old has also been busy recording the band's latest album, SHINY AND OH SO BRIGHT, VOL. 1 / LP: NO PAST. NO FUTURE. NO SUN., which comes out on November 16 and features fellow founding members James Iha and Jimmy Chamberlin for the first time in 18 years.
