Nicki Minaj's Queen documentary is filled with heart-breaking confessions. On Tuesday night (October 2), the "Barbie Dreams" rapper revealed a two-part teaser trailer for her personal project which takes fans behind the making of Minaj's 2018 record of the same name.

In the first of two teasers, Minaj details the abusive and violent chemistry she witnessed between her parents as a child. "I remember when my mother would let my father be violent with her," the 35-year-old recalls of her mother and father's dynamic. "And she always brings up this story, as a little girl, I would stand in front of my mother and go like this," she adds, holding out her arms.

Minaj has always been transparent about her father's destructive behavior, having admitted in previous interviews that he once tried to kill her mother by setting their home on fire. Although the emcee doesn't go deep into the level of dysfunction she's suffered in her own relationships, Minaj confesses in the second clip that there was once a person who made her feel "so low, I didn't even remember who I was."

While she doesn't reference that someone by name it's clear her ex-boyfriend Meek Mill, from whom she endured quite the nasty breakup last year, was feeling some sort of way about the clip after he shared this on Instagram:

"I was scared to get in the studio. I didn't believe in myself," Minaj goes on before explaining how the silver lining finally came to her in the creation of two songs on Queen — "Good Form" and "Coco Chanel."

Though no release date has been issued, Minaj promises the Queen doc is "coming soon."
