Travis Scott recently teased that he had some surprises in store for his Saturday Night Live performance last night (October 6), and he wasn't lying.
For his first song, the rapper recruited a supergroup of John Mayer, Tame Impala's Kevin Parker, and producer Mike Dean to play a medley of "Skeletons" and "Astrothunder," both from his latest album Astroworld. The performance also marked the first time Scott played "Astrothunder" live.
The funky mash up saw Mayer on guitar and Parker on bass, as Scott sang and rapped with his signature vocal effect on the microphone. A girl on the side of the stage rode a rotating carousel horse.

The Houston-bred rapper also doled out a trippy performance of his single, "Sicko Mode," with Dean, where he performed upside down from an arcade counsel.

Aside from acting as the musical guest, Scott also appeared in a skit alongside host Awkwafina. The sketch showed two rival dance crews challenging each other to a dance battle, and Awkwafina's Tiny Bigs group pulled out their secret weapon—Lil Bang Bang, played by Scott—who blew everyone's minds with his sweet moves to the Jeopardy! theme song.
