Tristan Thompson Planned To Propose To Khloe Before Cheating Scandal

Awkward! Before Tristan Thompson's cheating scandal, the Cleveland Cavalier told Khloe Kardashian's mom, Kris Jenner, that he was planning to propose to his then-pregnant girlfriend. 

The awkward moment went down in a scene from Sunday (October 7) night's episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians when Tristan Facetimed Kris to discuss ideas for Khloe's push present.  “I remember Koko saying she wanted something where she could pass it down, generation after generation,” he said.

“You know, Corey [Gamble] bought me for Christmas a couple of years ago this really beautiful little diamond ring that you could put on any finger,” Kris said, before hinting that a push present diamond ring would be a placeholder for a more meaningful one. “You know, until you get that really huge diamond that’s going to go on on her ring finger!”

“Of course,” Tristan replied. “Eventually!”

As previously reported, Khloe welcomed the couple's first child together merely days after news broke about Tristan's cheating scandal back in April. However, the two have seemed to bounce back after spending the summer rebuilding their relationship in Los Angeles. 

In August, the 34-year-old Good American designer responded to speculation that she and Tristan were in talks to get married. When a fan commented on a blog's post, "So she's acting like Tristan didn't cheat? Like it was made up by blogs? Lol," Khloe responded with an epic clapback. 

“I’m not acting as if Tristan didn’t cheat,” she replied in a conversation caught by The Shade Room & Comments By Celebs. “I’m saying the story about marriage and anyone insinuating they know what we speak about privately is ‘crap.’” She added, "Not upset by commenters. Not upset by anything. Only pointing out when blogs create stories for you all to believe when it's just simply untrue." 

Last month a source told E! News, Khloe's currently preparing to move back to Cleveland with Tristan and their five-month-old daughter, True. "[Khloe and Tristan] are doing better and have had a positive summer. She will be based in Cleveland with True for [Tristan's basketball] season, but is going to be coming to L.A. for work commitments and to see her family when she can." Adding, "Khloé just doesn't trust him 100 percent or know what's going to happen."
