Dinah Jane took another step towards solo stardom with her performance of "Bottled Up," her debut solo single alongside Ty Dolla $ign and Marc E. Bassy, on the Monday night (October 8) episode of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

For her debut solo number on Fallon, the former Fifth Harmony singer transformed the set into a moody club with a bar to accompany her slew of guests. Alongside a batch of backup dancers, the budding solo star brought her share of choreography to the performance, before Bassy and Ty worked in their contribution towards the end of the number. "I'm a bad chick, I need a bad one with me/ Work from home, but he gon' stay up with me/ No sleep tonight, yeah, you know what I like," she crooned during the slick track.

"Bottled Up," which was produced by Nic Nac, David Park, James Hau, and William Mosgrove, serves as the star's first solo serving since 5H announced their indefinite hiatus in March.

In an interview with Z100, the 21-year-old singer spoke out about the track, admitting that it boils down to pent-up feelings. "It's about someone who has a hard time sharing their emotion, so they bottle up their feelings and they turn to smoking and drinking because that’s the way they’re getting it out," the singer revealed. Back in September, Jane brought a performance of the song to Teen Vogue's Body Party, which was co-hosted by Snapchat, where her former singing sister Lauren Jauregui supported the number alongside her boyfriend Ty.
