First Lady Melania Trump is speaking out about all the negative press she has received since her husband, Donald Trump, decided to step into politics. The first lady spoke with ABC News's Chief National Affairs Correspondent Tom Llamas during her recent trip to Africa.
Llamas asked Mrs. Trump about her "Be Best" anti-cyberbullying initiative, and why she chose to combat bullying, while the president routinely mocks and bullies his political opponents.
"I could say that I'm the most bullied person in the world," she replied. "One of them -- if you really see what people are saying about me."
She went on to explain that her goal is to educate children about "social-emotional behavior so when they grow up, they know how to deal with those issues" and that she wants to focus on teaching kids about using social media responsibly.
The first lady also said that there are people working for her husband who he cannot trust. She said that she has spoken to him about the issue, and many of those people no longer work in the West Wing.
The full interview will air on Friday, October 12 at 10 p.m. as part of an ABC News special called Being Melania -- The First Lady.
