Another royal baby is on the way!
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are expecting their first child!. The happy news come as they began a 16-day tour to Australia, New Zealand, Tonga and Fiji.
The announcement comes five months after the royal couple married at Windsor Castle in England.
“Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019,” Kensington Palace said in a statement Monday. “Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public.”
According to The Daily Mail, Meghan has had a successful 12 week scan - suggesting that the baby was conceived in late July - just ten weeks after they married - and is due in late April 2019.
Pregnancy speculation was at an all-time high this past weekend because of the loose-fitting outfit the Duchess of Sussex wore to Princess Eugenie's wedding. Meghan, in a navy knee-length dress with a matching coat by Givenchy, kept the top of the coat buttoned up, creating a tent-like effect that kept her torso well covered throughout the wedding ceremony.
The royal child will be seventh in line to the throne.
