Sissy Spacek Accepts Artist of a Lifetime Award For Loretta Lynn

The CMT’s ‘Artists of the Year’ showcase led the charge for change with an all women celebration which featured only powerhouse female artists. The evening held a special dedication for Loretta Lynn for her bold leadership in the industry and trailblazing talent that helped pave the way for many of the women in attendance.

Unfortunately, Loretta was under the weather and unable to attend. However, Sissy Spacek took the mic proudly on her behalf and accepted Lynn’s award for ‘Artist of a Lifetime.’   Sissy shared a personal connection and true appreciation for the legendary star and had won an Academy Award for her role as Loretta Lynn in 'Coal Miner’s Daughter'.

Any speech that begins with, “I think we can all agree, there is only one Loretta Lynn” shouldn’t be missed.
