Americans Might Spend Even More This Holiday Season

Americans are looking forward to opening their wallets for Christmas gifts this year.  A new Gallup poll finds that Americans reported they would spend on average $885 for presents this year.  The prediction is slightly down from the actual recorded average of $906 last year, but higher than every other year since the recession of 2007 through 2009.  Nearly 90% of Americans say they plan to spend money this holiday season, even if it's just a small amount.
