Jon Bon Jovi Blasts the Kardashians

Jon Bon Jovi is not known for surprises or for making headlines in interviews, so his recent comments on America's reality show culture seem awfully illustrative on his true feelings.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer is a media-savvy businessman who normally plays things down the middle, but when the subject of reality shows came up in a recent interview with Australia's The Sunday Project, it seems the front man couldn't hold back.

"I think it's horrific that we live in that world and I can tell you I've never given 60 seconds of my life, ever, to one of those Housewives of Blah Blah Blah and Kardashians," Bon Jovi said.

"What's gonna be in your autobiography?" he asked, before making a pointed dig at Kim Kardashian West's pre-TV show sex tape scandal. "'I made a porno and, guess what? I got famous.' F--k, sorry, I'll pass."

The rocker continued, addressing what he perceives as an utter lack of positive cultural influence by reality shows.

"Go and write a book, paint a painting, act, study, sing, play write," he suggested. "Fame is a byproduct of writing a good song."

Kardashian West has acknowledged that the infamous sex tape is "how I was definitely introduced to the world," but she has also insisted that since then she's worked hard to "get people to see the real me."

This summer, Bon Jovi launched a winery and a line of rosé with his son Jesse. His band recently announced a run of European tour dates next summer, as its This House Is Not for Sale album tour continues.
