Nick Jonas’s First Text To Priyanka Chopra Was So Formal

The first text Nick Jonas ever sent to his future wife, Priyanka Chopra, was so formal it sounds more like he was trying to secure a business deal than woo a potential girlfriend. The Cut even went so far as to compare the 26-year-old pop star's first text to his bride-to-be to a LinkedIn message, which...ouch.

After Priyanka's fabulous bridal shower at Tiffany & Co's Blue Box in New York City, the 36-year-old actress revealed exactly what her fiance said when he reached out to her for the first time. "He texted me. The first time was a text and just saying, 'I think we should connect,' and whatever and that's how we started talking," Priyanka explained.

For longtime fans of the former Jonas Brothers member, this story probably isn't surprising in the slightest. This is just Nick Jonas being peak Nick Jonas. He's long been known as the "serious" brother because, well, he's quite serious. As you can see based on the "I think we should connect" text.

Nick's courting techniques obviously worked on Priyanka as they're set to tie the knot sometime in the near future. Priyanka even gushed about Nick and what a great partner he is to her.  "Just being in the whole situation of finding somebody who can be a partner to you in so many more ways than one is amazing, so yes I'm very excited," she said.

This isn't the first time Priyanka has opened up about her whirlwind romance, either. She recently told People that Nick's respect for her is what makes their relationship work so well. "By that, I don't mean makes coffee for you, not that," she clarified. "But someone who respects the hard work you put into your life." She went on to define respect in a relationship as someone "who respects that if his work is important, so is yours. Or if he makes choices that are important to him, so is your opinion. That's respect, and that's incredible to have."

Congratulations on connecting to these two.
