Halsey delivered her emotionally-driven new single live at last night's awards show.
Sunday night (November 4) saw the 24-year-old singer deliver her track "Without Me" for the first time at the 2018 MTV Europe Music Awards in Spain. In her premiere performance of the record, Halsey finds herself fastened to a chain while trapped inside a glass enclosure.
While belting out the verses to the lovesick song — which is inspired by her turbulent romance with ex-boyfriend G-Eazy — a downpour ensues and leaves the star singing in the rain. Much like the song's lyrics suggest, the alt-pop songbird holds her own and weathers the elements with powerful, eye-catching display.

The intense visuals for "Without Me," which depicts Halsey grappling with a toxic relationship, dropped last week. Days before its release, it was revealed that the songstress had broken up with the "No Limit" emcee for the second time after reconciling in August. “It’s over again for now,” an insider close to the ex-couple told PEOPLE. “He was partying over the weekend and girls were all over him. He didn’t care who saw.”
The couple initially called off their romance in July. It was unclear what caused them to split the first time, though it was alleged G-Eazy was unfaithful to her.
Halsey spoke with JoJo Wright at iHeartRadio Los Angeles about their troublesome relationship on October 22.
