The Good, The Bad & The Queen Share 'Gun to the Head'

Last month, The Good, The Bad & The Queen announced Merrie Land, the band's first album in 11 years, and shared the title track. On Monday (November 5), the supergroup consisting of Blur/Gorillaz frontman Damon Albarn, The Clash bassist Paul Simonon, The Verve guitarist Simon Tong and Afrobeat drummer Tony Allen revealed the upcoming album's second offering, "Gun To The Head."

The theatrical new song's music video features the same marionette character as "Merrie Land," only this time he's singing on a dark, empty stage. Despite the track's upbeat, almost carnival-style music, it still gives off the same feeling of despair as its predecessor. And that may the point. According to a statement, the new album is described as a “good-bye letter, a series of observations and reflections on Britishness in 2018.”

Watch the melancholic video for "Gun To The Head" below.

Albarn just wrapped up a tour with Gorillaz and is gearing up to play a handful of UK shows with The Good, The Bad & The Queen in November and December, after Merrie Land's November 16th release. Check out a list of tour dates below.
