BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) — Battle Creek police are releasing surveillance images in hopes of tracking down a jewelry store thief.

Police believe the same man broke into three businesses on or near Capital Avenue SW over the past two weeks: Pearlman’s Jewelers on Oct. 30, King Jewelers on Nov. 9 and Happy House Gift Shop on Nov. 13.

All three crimes happened between 12:15 a.m. and 4:45 a.m. when the businesses were closed.

Surveillance images show the suspect wearing what appears to be a dark hooded sweatshirt under a tan Carhartt-style coat, black shoes with white soles, black framed glasses and a bandana or mask over his face. Investigators say he may be a white man who is about 5-foot-10 with a medium build.
