lovelytheband has covered a lot of ground since its 2016 inception. After independently releasing a single called "Broken," the Los Angeles-based trio signed to RED MUSIC in June 2017, and has since shared stages with the likes of 5 Seconds of Summer and Vance Joy, performed at huge festivals like Lollapalooza, released a debut album called finding it hard to smile and saw "Broken" top the Alternative charts.
With the success of "Broken" growing by the day, singer Mitchy Collins, guitarist Jordan Greenwald and drummer Sam Price recently treated fans to an acoustic video performance of the hit song. Collins and Greenwald strum guitars while Price gently taps his guitar case, creating a makeshift drum.
"I like that you're broken / Broken like me / Maybe that makes me a fool," Collins confesses in the vulnerable chorus. "I like that you're lonely / Lonely like me / I could be lonely with you."

The band's whirlwind success has made for what Collins calls "Oh s**t" moments. “I went to see Dashboard Confessional play a show, and [Chris Carrabba] was like, ‘I love your band!’” he told Billboard in a recent interview. Though being recognized is still hard to imagine, the songwriter keeps a positive perspective.
“You can be a new band,” he said, “but if people connect with it, you can change their lives overnight.”
