Lil Xan has checked himself into rehab.

Nearly three weeks after he announced that he decided to seek treatment for his issues with substance abuse, the "Betrayed" rapper's girlfriend, Annie, revealed that he had finally entered treatment. "Diego was just admitted into his first treatment," she wrote on Instagram Sunday (December 2). "He loves each and every one of you sending good wishes and prayers to him. We thank you all so very much for all of the love and support you are sending his way. He will be back soon with another top 10 album."

As previously reported, Xan let his fans know that he planned to step away for a bit to deal with his struggles with addiction last month. "I just dropped out of SoundCloud Uni to go to rehab,πŸŽ‰ I leave in like 5 days And I couldn’t be happier with this choice πŸ’”," he captioned a photo of him smoking on November 15. "I love you guys for being so supportive and can’t wait too get back clean headed ready to Finish my album !"

According to TMZ, the delay in Xan checking into rehab was due to the rehab facility, where he was supposed to seek treatment, having to push back his initial check-in date due to another patient staying longer than anticipated.

Following Xan's rehab announcement on social media in November, he spoke to TMZ about what drove him to seek treatment. He explained that his decision was in big part due to the deaths of Lil Peep and Mac Miller, both rappers who passed due to accidental overdoses. "It seems like all of it is Fentanyl, Fentanyl, Fentanyl," he said. "I feel like it's time to get better." The "Live or Die" rapper added that he's struggling with "opioids" and wants "to do rehab so [he] can finally be back to Diego (his real name)." The 22-year-old rapper also told the site that his "goal" is to come out of rehab with "DIEGO," all caps, being his stage name as he no longer wants to "celebrate" or "talk good" about doing drugs.

Back in September, Xan admitted that he was struggling with substance abuse. "I want to be clean and sober, but that sh*t is hard," he said just days after the death of his "hero" Mac Miller. "I want to get sober now, completely sober, but it's so hard. I just want to be off everything. I want to be like a normal person.... if I didn't have a tour coming up I would be in rehab right now... I'm down for any type of help."
