Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Lopez, Naomi Campbell and more have paid tribute to OG celebrity hairstylist Oribe Canales, who has passed away at the age of 62.

As per the New York Post, the cause of death for the Cuban-born hairdresser is currently unknown. However, Canales' legacy will forever be cemented amongst his clients and the industry after work in every major fashion magazine, including Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, W, Marie Claire and many more. He regularly flew to Milan to work on Gianni Versace's fashion shows and is credited as for being one of the innovators of the early '90s punk movement in fashion. Canales also had his own line of products called Oribe Hair Care and remained a staple in the backstage rounds at fashion shows and red carpets.

Oribe's close-ties with Lopez was detailed in his official biography, which appears on his official website. "In 1997, Oribe's focus turned from fashion to the new faces of fashion: celebrities. This shift came via a new face to the music scene, Jennifer Lopez, who called for Oribe after a childhood spent reading his name in fashion magazines," the excerpt read. "He accompanied the rising star to Miami to shoot the cover of her first album, On the 6, for which he lightened her hair and pulled it tightly over a wig into a long ponytail. It was a done deal -- Sean Combs, her boyfriend at the time, told Lopez not to let Oribe get away, and she didnโ€™t. Oribe worked with her during her meteoric rise (when he created the JLo persona with her) and at the heights of her millennial celebrity."

Among some of his other star-studded clients include Lady Gaga, Kate Moss, Rihanna, Meghan Markle, Emily Ratajkowski, Karen Elson, Cindy Crawford and more. Scroll on below to see some of the many tribute in honor of the late hair stylist!

When I was 16 I was fascinated with Vogue magazine I would ride on the train and look at all the images of the supermodels and I was obsessed with the hair!! When I saw an image I loved I would check who did it and it was always someone named Oribe... Wow... heโ€™s amazing I would think!! Cut to years later I was making my first album. I started working with Benny Medina and he said to me we have to do an album cover shoot who do you want for hair and makeup... honestly I was so new to the industry I knew no one and remembered my time flipping thru those magazines on the 6 and said ummm Oribe and Kevin Aucoin... Benny laughed and said oh OK! The next 10 years I would spend with Oribe by my side in every waking and working moment. We fell in love with each other. We traveled the world together. And along with Scott Barnes they helped me blossom into JLO. It was a magical and exhausting time...And when I was tired he would say to me... โ€œYou are gonna get up and go out there and be beautiful and fabulous bc that your job!!โ€ Weโ€™d laugh bc that sounded crazy and then we would get to the business of doing our โ€œjobโ€ !! He made me love the glam part of things. Bc he loved it so much and saw it as a powerful tool to empower women. He loved beauty and wanted women to feel beautiful and sexy. He loved the messiness and the imperfection and saw how interesting that was. He was a true artist. He made me feel special and beautiful for so long. I could go on and on but I will just say with a heavy heart... Thank you sweet, beautiful man... I will miss you. I love you Oribe... so much... ๐Ÿ’”#latinolegend #artistextraordinaire #hairgod #familia
