Juelz Santana will spend the next two-plus years behind bars.

According to TMZ, the "Dipset" rapper, whose real name is LaRon Louis James, was sentenced to 27 months in prison on Wednesday (December 19), in connection to his airport drug and weapon case. The judge also issued him a 12-month supervised release, which will begin when he completes his time served.

Back in March, Juelz was arrested for trying to take a loaded .38-caliber handgun and eight oxycodone pills — the gun and pills were both in his travel bag — on board his flight scheduled to take off from Newark International Airport. As fans know, after TSA found the gun and drugs in his bag he fled the scene. However, Juelz turned himself in later and was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a controlled dangerous substance. Juelz, who is a convicted felon, pled guilty to both charges.

The Love & Hip Hop: New York star predicted on a recent episode that he would get 27 months for his crime, saying he thought he'd get 27 to 37 months.

A date has yet to be set for when Juelz will have to surrender to begin serving his 27-month prison stint.

The LHH star's sentencing comes just weeks after he proposed to his longtime girlfriend Kimbella. Juelz, who has been dating the reality star for over a decade, popped the question at the Apollo Theater in Harlem, New York in November.

The couple shares two children, son Juelz, and daughter Bella.
