Just days after welcoming a baby girl, Remy Ma is back in the hospital due to post-birth complications.
According to TMZ, "Remy was suffering from excessive bleeding Tuesday (December 18) night and went right back to the hospital." The Love & Hip Hop star's post-birth complications were so severe she required emergency surgery.
As previously reported, Remy welcomed her first child with her husband of ten years Papoose on Friday (December 14). "The Golden Child is here!!! Thank you @papoosepapoose for making me the happiest wife in the planet🥰 #BlackLove #RemAndPap #BabyMackie#ShesMADDDDcute," the "All the Way Up" rapper captioned a pink graphic that read "It's a girl!"
Before the 38-year-old rapper gave birth, Papoose asked for prayers on social media after revealing Remy's delivery plan wasn't going as smoothly as they had hoped. "Tough labor... but my wife, is still fighting through it," he shared on Instagram. "She’s a warrior! Keep us in your prayers! #thegoldenchild is on the way."
The couple, who suffered a miscarriage last year, announced that they were expecting their first child together back in July. Remy, whose real name is Reminisce Smith, and Papoose, whose real name is Shamele Mackie, revealed the big news on Instagram after sharing a video from their vow renewal, where they first surprised their guests with their baby announcement.
"Although we told you guys that we were renewing our vows, which we are, we also wanted y’all out here when we told you guys …" Remy said in the video while addressing her vow renewal guests, before handing the mic to Papoose. "We having a baby!" he screamed with excitement.
The couple's baby girl joined her four siblings. Remy has a son, Jayson, from a previous relationship, and Papoose has three children from previous relationships, according to Page Six.
