In 2006, Thom Yorke released his first solo album, The Eraser. Three years later, the Radiohead frontman recruited a supergroup consisting of Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea; producer Nigel Goodrich (keyboards, synthesizers, guitars); Beck/R.E.M. drummer Joey Waronker and percussionist  Mauro Refosco to perform the album live with him. After the tour,  the band released its own album called Amok under the moniker Atoms For Peace in 2013. They toured Europe, Japan and the U.S., and that was that.

On Wednesday night (December 19), Yorke gave fans quite the surprise when he brought out Flea and Waronker during a solo show at Los Angeles' Orpheum Theatre (Goodrich is touring with him), and together the band performed The Eraser song that started it all: "Atoms For Peace."

A fan caught the whole performance on camera. Watch the video below.

Yorke only has one more stop left on his U.S. tour — Las Vegas on December 22nd. He's also been treating fans to a live rendition of "Unmade," a track off his Susperia soundtrack. Another song off the project, "Susperium," was recently announced on the Oscars 2019 shortlist for "Best Original Song." The official nominee announcement is slated to come next month.
