Janet and her brother Randy Jackson's former manager, Danny O'Donovan, is suing the siblings for $300,000, TMZ reports.
The Jackson's former manager recently filed legal documents claiming the singers hired him in July 2016 to be the tour manager for Janet's "State of the World Tour," but did not pay him in full for the job.
In the legal docs, obtained by the gossip site, Danny says the Jacksons agreed to pay him $25k per month for a 17-month stint. However, he claims Randy and Janet stopped paying him after his first five months. While he says he completed his duties over the remaining 12 months, he'd like to get what he's owed, which he says is $300k.
Hopefully, all can be rectified since the tour brought in big bucks! According to Pollstar, the State of the World Tour, which had 56 shows, came in 62nd on their "2017 Year-End Top 100 Worldwide Tours" list after grossing $33.4 million.
Despite the recent legal filing, it's been quite a great year for Janet. On top of releasing a new single, "Made For Now," earlier this year, the "Scream" singer was recently announced as an inductee into the 2019 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. "Janet Jackson has built a career so groundbreaking that she’s immediately identifiable on a first-name basis," the organization wrote in a statement. "She explored social issues, themes of empowerment and self-confidence, and influenced generations with her stylized music videos with innovative choreography."
Janet was nominated twice before, however, it seems the third time was the charm!
