A high school senior brought a basketball game to a halt after his powerful slam dunk shattered the backboard. JR Hayes, who plays for Mountain View High School in Orem, Utah, caught a cross-court pass from his teammate and slammed it home, ripping the rim off of the backboard, leaving broken glass all over the court.
A second video captured the impressive dunk from the other side of the court.
Well, that escalated quickly 💥🙉

Mountain View would go on to lose the game to Cypress by a score of 54-46, but it will be a game that Hayes will remember for the rest of his life.
