Remy Ma is on the mend.
The Love & Hip Hop star is back with her seven-day-old daughter after having to be rushed back to hospital following childbirth complications.
"I’m FINALLY back home and doing much better," Remy announced on Instagram Thursday (December 20). "The baby has been PERFECTLY fine since being born Dec. 14th and I’m resting & recovering at home. (Pap is VERY happy, on cloud 9,999😊)."
As previously reported, after welcoming a baby girl (who Remy and her husband Papoose call their "Golden Child"), Remy was back in the hospital due to childbirth complications. "Remy was suffering from excessive bleeding Tuesday (December 18) night and went right back to the hospital," TMZ reported earlier this week. The Love & Hip Hop star's post-birth complications were so severe she required emergency surgery. A rep for the rapper later told Page Six, “Remy is [in] recovery in the hospital from a blood transfusion due to childbirth complication.”
Remy welcomed her first child with her husband of ten years Papoose on December 14. "The Golden Child is here!!! Thank you @papoosepapoose for making me the happiest wife in the planet🥰 #BlackLove #RemAndPap #BabyMackie#ShesMADDDDcute," the "All the Way Up" rapper captioned a pink graphic that read "It's a girl!"
Before the 38-year-old rapper gave birth, Papoose asked for prayers on social media after revealing Remy's delivery plan wasn't going as smoothly as they had hoped. "Tough labor... but my wife, is still fighting through it," he shared on Instagram. "She’s a warrior! Keep us in your prayers! #thegoldenchild is on the way."
The couple, who suffered a miscarriage last year, announced that they were expecting their first child together back in July.
The couple's baby girl joins her four siblings. Remy has a son, Jayson, from a previous relationship, and Papoose has three children from previous relationships, according to Page Six.
