A new challenge is sweeping the internet following the immense popularity of Netflix's new thriller Bird Box. In the film, everybody must wear blindfolds to prevent themselves from being possessed by demons. Sandra Bullock plays the main character, Malorie, who must navigate the world while leading two children on a blindfolded journey to a sanctuary from the demons.
In the #BirdBoxChallenge people attempt to emulate Bullock's character by doing everyday tasks, such as brushing their hair or walking to work, while blindfolded. One father tried it with his kids and the results were not that great.

While most of the challenges were harmless and funny, at least one person appeared to cover his eyes while driving.

As the challenge gained popularity, Netflix issue a warning against participating in the latest viral fad.
Can’t believe I have to say this, but: PLEASE DO NOT HURT YOURSELVES WITH THIS BIRD BOX CHALLENGE. We don’t know how this started, and we appreciate the love, but Boy and Girl have just one wish for 2019 and it is that you not end up in the hospital due to memes.
