A star was born last night (January 6) when Lady Gaga won the Golden Globe for Best Original Song for her smash song “Shallow” from her film A Star Is Born.
The Joanne entertainer was smiling from ear-to-ear at the 2019 ceremony as she accepted the award alongside record producer Mark Ronson, with whom she co-wrote the track for the movie's soundtrack."You took a heartfelt honest tune and you gave it emotional resonance that we could've only dreamed of,” Ronson complimented, adding, "Seriously, the way you weaved the lyrics into the film and the narrative of your beautiful heartbreaking film is why we're standing up here tonight, I believe.”
Hours after the annual film and television event ended, the 32-year-old singer-songwriter opted against a fancy dinner and topped off her exciting evening with an oddly romantic night in with husband-to-be Christian Carino.
So how did Mother Monster celebrate her victory? Over a bowl of cereal, apparently.
"What a rager,” her Hollywood agent fiance wrote along with a hilariously intimate image of Gaga cradling her trophy in bed while munching on some Fruity Pebbles.
The musician, who was also in the running for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Drama this year, was awarded her first Globe for Best Actress in a Miniseries or Television Film for American Horror Story: Hotel in 2016.
Gaga's turn in A Star Is Born also earned her nominations for this year's upcoming Critics' Choice Movie Awards, Screen Actors Guild Awards and was shortlisted for the 2019 Oscars.
