Gospel: The Most Important Genre In Music

Just came across this video about Gospel music on YouTube, "The Importance of Gospel: a video essay" and it's a nice little video music history lesson. YouTube publisher IloveArethaFranklin shows examples of how soul, funk, pop, jazz, and many more music genres, were influenced by, or linked back, to Gospel music. They think Gospel is, "Without a doubt,...the most important genre in music." Well, we are a little bias, so... Do you agree? Watch the video below.
