Police from Kutztown, Pennsylvania were inundated with responses after posting a request on Facebook for volunteers who wanted to get drunk to help train officers. The department said that it was looking for "three (3) volunteers to assist us in training officers to administer Standardized Field Sobriety Tests." They said that volunteers must be between the ages of 25 and 40, have a clean criminal history and "be willing to drink hard liquor to the point of inebriation."
The post quickly went viral, with hundreds of people commenting that they wanted to sign up. The department edited the post saying that they received an "overwhelming response" and the lucky volunteers would be contacted by the police chief.
