Parents Sue Over Teacher Sexual Misconduct

A lawsuit is being filed against a West Valley school district after a teacher was accused of molesting a 13-year-old boy. Goodyear teacher Brittany Zamora was arrested in March 2018 on suspicion of sexual misconduct with her student.
The family of the boy filed a lawsuit this month against the Liberty Elementary School District and Zamora's husband, claiming they both knew about the misconduct more than a month before the parents found out.
The lawsuit also claims Zamora used school district resources, including a school's chat app to seduce the boy. Zamora was a sixth-grade teacher at Las Brisas Academy when the alleged sexual encounters took place.
